Day of the Dead Mystical Market – FREE Event | Madison Heights, MI
The Day of the Dead Mystical Market is a free Dia de los Muertos gathering at Crimson Commuter in Madison Heights on Sunday, November 1, 2026. Doors open at 11:30 AM and the market runs from noon until 6:00 PM. This one is quieter than the other fairs on the calendar, and deliberately so.
The day is built around remembrance. Come to sit with a medium, to leave a name at the community altar, or simply to be in a room where grief is ordinary and welcome rather than something to manage alone.
What you will find
- Mediumship, the heart of this particular day, for messages from loved ones in spirit.
- Tarot readers offering clarity and guidance.
- Aura photography, a color portrait of your energy field taken at the table.
- Flower essences chosen for grief, peace and emotional balance.
- A community remembrance altar where you can honor friends and family who have passed.
- Vendors with mystical goods, handmade pieces and Day of the Dead finds.
- The Crimson Commuter store, stocked for ancestor altar supplies.
Bringing something for the altar
The remembrance altar is open to everyone in the room. A photograph, a name written on paper, a small object, or a favorite food all belong there. Nothing is required, and nobody is asked to explain who they are remembering.
Before you come
Entry costs nothing. Reserving a free ticket simply lets the organizers set out enough seating for the afternoon. Practitioners and vendors each set their own rates, and booths differ on whether they accept cards, so some cash is worth carrying. On-site parking is free and the day is open to every age.
Getting here
The venue is a storefront on John R Road in Madison Heights. Most drivers arrive from Royal Oak, Troy, Warren, Hazel Park or Detroit, and nearly all of those trips run under fifteen minutes.
Mediumship, readings and flower essences are offered for remembrance and personal reflection. None of it is medical or mental health care. It is not a substitute for medical care, nothing here diagnoses or treats any condition, no outcome is promised, and it does not replace grief counseling or any other professional support.
